COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT -

THE TAILOR MAID is an active, involved part of the San Francisco Bay Area in general, and the Palo Alto community in particular.

Since opening the first store in May of 1986, Beverly Nadine has sought ways to show leadership by example. Giving back to the community has always been important to her, both personally and businesswise.

 

Palo Alto Chamber of Commerce - Beverly Nadine joined the Palo Alto Chamber even before opening The Tailor Maid. She has served as comittee chair for the Women in Business Steering Committee, is on the Board of Directors, and also served as the second woman President in the chamber's history. Beverly received the prestigious Athena Award in 1996.

 

 

Career Closet - a non-profit organization that strives to elevate the marketability & self esteem of economically disadvantaged women in Santa Clara County. We provide, at no charge, interview clothing to women who complete job training programs and are actively seeking employment. Additionally, we provide services to ensure their future success and job retention. Beverly Nadine sits on the Board of Directors, and serves as President for 2001.

 

 

Career Action Center - a nonprofit, full-service career development organization that provides resources and encouragement to help people take control of their careers. In 1989, Beverly Nadine was the recipient of their "Woman of Vision" Award.
