Technology
Committee –
Chairperson: William Dere (Wind River)
Will Dere is
the SIG Group Manager at Wind River and has been
chair of the Technology Committee for the 2000-2001 year. Several
goals were suggested including sponsoring a series of technology
seminars geared to providing basic information to small businesses
such as configuring a network, buying a computer, contracting for
a
web page, etc.
The Technology
Committee has provided a valuable connection of
the high tech industries to the local business community. The
committee meets the second Tuesday of each month at 3:30 p.m.
in the Chamber Conference Room.
Through a survey
of our Chamber Members the committee came up
with some goals to help fellow members. One of the goals was to
include a Technology Q & A column in the monthly newsletter.
This
column has been of help to many members. For easier access to
the past articles, the columns are now posted here on the web site.
